True leadership isn’t forged when everything goes according to plan. It is tested, refined, and proven in the moments when the door slams shut, the odds stack up, and giving up seems like the only logical choice.
For Prince Boakye, a resilient student at the Enchi College of Education, the path to becoming one of Ghana’s most influential student leaders was never a smooth, guaranteed ascent. Instead, his story is a masterclass in how humility, unyielding respect, and a refusal to back down can transform an ambitious young man into a national icon for change.
The Early Sparks of Leadership
Long before his name was known across Ghana’s campuses, Prince was an ambitious young man quietly learning the ropes of governance. Throughout his Junior High and Senior High School days, he consistently stepped up to serve, holding several leadership positions that laid the foundation for his character.
When he transitioned to higher education at the Enchi College of Education, his innate drive to serve quickly set him apart. He took on the demanding role of General Course Representative, acting as the vital bridge between his peers and the administration. This wasn’t a position of glamour, but one of pure service honing his ability to listen, mediate, and advocate effectively.
Winning Hearts and Redefining Success
Prince’s influence soon extended beyond academic governance. Possessing a natural charisma rooted in genuine humility, he entered the pageantry arena to advocate for student development. He first made history locally by winning the prestigious Face of Enchicoe title.
Yet, the true test of a leader lies in how they handle political heartbreak. During the 2024–2025 academic year, Prince vied for the office of Student Representative Council (SRC) President at Enchi College of Education. In a closely contested race, he lost.
To many, a defeat at the home front would mean a step back. But for Prince, it was simply a redirection.
“A setback is only a permanent failure if you let it silence your voice. If you keep your humility intact and your focus clear, you will always find a higher ladder to climb”

The National Arena
Refusing to let the SRC defeat define his trajectory, Prince aimed higher. He picked up
nomination forms for the TTAG National Treasurer position. Winning this seat proved that his appeal was national, and it allowed him to manage the association’s financial trust with absolute transparency and respect.
But Prince’s ultimate test of resilience arrived when he decided to vie for the highest student
office in the country: TTAG National President.
The journey was anything but smooth. Along the campaign trail, a massive political roadblock emerged. Prince was abruptly dropped from the list of approved candidates. For many, this administrative disqualification would have been the end of the road. But Prince chose to fight back through the proper, lawful channels. He defended his record, fought vigorously against the decision, and was ultimately reinstated. When the ballots were cast, the voice of teacher trainees across Ghana was deafeningly clear: Prince Boakye was elected TTAG National President.

Impact Beyond Politics: The Meyanko Foundation
What truly cements Prince’s legacy is that his ambition is never about personal power; it is about human impact. Alongside his heavy presidential duties and academic responsibilities at Enchi, he channels his passion into community development through his charity organisation, the Meyanko Foundation.
As a natural motivator, Prince utilises the foundation to uplift vulnerable populations, showing that true leadership doesn’t end when you step off the political podium; it continues in the schools and in the lives of the people you serve.
From an eager campus representative to the head of all teacher trainees in Ghana, Prince Boakye’s journey proves that resilience is the ultimate equaliser. By matching his massive ambition with an unwavering spirit of humility and respect, he has shown every student leader across the nation that a lost election is not the end of a story; it is simply the prologue to a much greater triumph.
HE IS PRINCE BOAKYE
