MR. NIGHT

That unexpected visitor of time
Has no respecter of men.
He comes as he wills;
No one knows the day nor the hour,
Yet all respond unconsciously.

Gay meteors, green plants,
Have no option but to heed Mr. Night.
No amount of capital can bribe or delay him,
Because every living creature is subjected to him.

Are you armed for him?
He comes in no time.
He is like a thief of the day.
Woe to you who go unprepared,
Rendering your resources useless.

Create indelible marks;
Build up a tower of recognition
To make your generation proud.
For days will speed up like seconds,
Months will be like minutes,
And years will be like hours.
Let not night take you by surprise.
